Abstrak

This research examines the classification of objectives of Islamic education. For this purpose, researchers used a qualitative approach with the literature study method. The technique used is content analysis. The research results show that general educational goals can be classified into 3 parts, namely final goals, general goals, and specific goals. Of these three goals, there is a certain hierarchy, the final goal is reduced to the general goal, and the general goal is reduced to the specific goal. This research recommends that there is a need for a paradigm shift in reformulating the goals of education based on Godly values which lead to the achievement of eternal and transcendental happiness.
